Saint Jerome is honored in the Catholic Church as a Doctor of the Church and one of the great biblical scholars of Christian history. Best known for his Latin translation of Scripture, the Vulgate, he devoted his intellect, discipline, and prayer to serving the Word of God. The Saint’s Story
