His spirituality was marked by frequent prayer, love for the Mass, care for others, and a desire to lead people to Jesus truly present in the Eucharist. Because of his youth and his use of technology in service of the Gospel, many Catholics look to him as a companion for young people, students, programmers, and those seeking holiness in modern life.

A Life of Faith

The Saint’s Story

Saint Carlo Acutis was born in 1991 and raised in Italy, where his ordinary teenage life became a quiet witness to extraordinary faith. He enjoyed computers, friendships, and the everyday interests of youth, yet his heart was deeply centered on the Eucharist. Carlo used his technical gifts to create a project documenting Eucharistic miracles, hoping to help others recognize Christ’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament. Before his death from leukemia at the age of fifteen, he offered his suffering with faith and trust. His life reminds the Church that sanctity is not distant from modern life, but can shine through ordinary days lived close to Jesus.
