The Saint’s Story

Saint Thérèse was born in France in 1873 as Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin. Drawn to religious life from a young age, she entered the Carmelite monastery in Lisieux, where she lived a hidden life of prayer, sacrifice, and love. Though her years were brief, her spiritual insight was profound. She taught that sanctity is not reserved for extraordinary deeds, but can be lived through small acts offered with great love. Thérèse died at twenty-four, yet her writings soon touched Catholics across the world. Known as the Little Flower, she continues to guide souls toward childlike confidence in the Father’s love.
