History & Devotion

Devotion to Saint Michael the Archangel is deeply rooted in Scripture and Catholic prayer. Michael appears in the Book of Daniel, the Letter of Jude, and the Book of Revelation, where he is associated with heavenly battle and fidelity to God. The Church honors him as one of the three archangels named in Scripture, together with Gabriel and Raphael. His feast is celebrated on September 29.
